I’ve been away for a while working on my book. Now that I’m returning I might get a reaction
like this…
But if I do I hope to eventually win you back.
My genealogical supplement is now in the proofing stage with
the printer. I’ve still got some small
things to do with it, but I’m waiting on a couple companies to get back to me
first. In the meantime I’ve got some
bandwidth back and I’m going to start making posts again.
I was in the middle of a category on interracial
relationships when I had to stop to concentrate on my book. I’ve also been putting in quite a few hours
at work, so getting the book to this point took me even longer than I had been
expecting.
Anyway, next up are three separate posts for movies from
1992.
Good to have you back, Chip. Those pictures are awesome. If you make an entry like that you must be quite a star at family gatherings. Also I wonder what kind of work would make you look like that...
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's wet work that makes me look like that. (Not sure if that pun translates. "Wet work" is slang for being an assassin.)
DeleteWelcome back with a big smile! How about the inter-species between the Creature and Julie Adams???
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your reviews ...
Thanks. I'm actually going to have an interspecies one for my last post in this category.
DeleteI was wondering what happened to you. I see you've been playing catch-up on my reviews. It's going to take me an hour to respond to all of your comments.
ReplyDeleteCheck two posts back for a fuller explanation.
DeleteHey, just be thankful that after I finished the 1,001 Movies list I didn't go back and comment on all of your 1,001 movies reviews that I hadn't yet. I actually considered it back then, but I figured that went beyond "funny" and/or "nice gesture" into "creepy" territory.
Glad to see you back! As someone who has worked on several anthologies (and a rather modest book chapter), I know how daunting the overall process of prose can be, so you are more than excused in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThanks. For what it's worth, it's a supplement to my 1999 genealogy that I am finalizing.
DeleteI often find myself identifying with the gill man myself.
ReplyDeleteSometimes people just get judged by their appearances....
DeleteWelcome back! Congratulations on getting so far with your genealogical book. It's my experience that projects always take longer than you expect.
ReplyDeleteThanks. There's a joking rule of thumb: "something will always take twice as long as you figure it will. If you plan for it to take twice as long then it will take four times as long."
