Stop to realize that Tarantino's been making movies for more than 20 years now. :-)Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4564277570960354470.post-79706386849145351932015-08-11T13:24:57.630-04:002015-08-11T13:24:57.630-04:00Actually, I didn't know that fact until I read...Actually, I didn't know that fact until I read it here, believe it or not. I watched this because it was recommended to me by a couple of people. When I get a concensus "you should watch this" I generally go with it when I get the chance.SJHoneywellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13550007053995112090noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4564277570960354470.post-12918562648082090452015-08-11T13:20:59.811-04:002015-08-11T13:20:59.811-04:00As influenced as Tarantino's own work has been...As influenced as Tarantino's own work has been by filmmakers from the past, it's interesting how Tarantino himself has now become such an influence on the filmmaking of others.chris, a librarainhttp://www.1001afilmodyssey.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4564277570960354470.post-12163027456938686812015-08-11T10:53:14.136-04:002015-08-11T10:53:14.136-04:00Did you know this was from the same guy who did In...Did you know this was from the same guy who did In Bruges when you watched it? This goes down a rabbit hole pretty fast, but never really gets too confusing.

Sometimes, all I really want in a movie is to be entertained, and I had a lot of fun watching this. In this case that was enough. Walken's character remarks to the screenwriter at one point that all of his female characters couldn't seem to string more than two sentences together and they were not remotely realistic.

And in Kurylenko's character's case, that was the result of not being able to kill the dog, according to what I read afterwards. And that's what led to the comment in the film about a studio not caring what happens to women as long as the animals are kept safe.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4564277570960354470.post-84223184486848834002015-08-10T19:54:31.520-04:002015-08-10T19:54:31.520-04:00I thought it was alright but I had some issues wit...I thought it was alright but I had some issues with it. Especially with the way women are portrayed in the film as I was upset in the way Abbie Cornish and Olga Kurylenko were used. thevoid99https://www.blogger.com/profile/03055459287396592446noreply@blogger.com
